Joint statement by 17 pressure groups: There are too many business representatives and prominent figures but no grassroots repre- sentatives on the Basic Law drafting committee. The consultative commitee should comprise middle and lower class people and professionals.
HK Affairs Society: The
drafting committee members are not
representative enough as there are too many people from the business field.
