Sing Pao: The planned visit to HK by BLDC Chinese member will not adversely affect
confidence in HK. Such a visit is a good thing because the members will gain a better understanding of the situation here.

* FTU vice-chairman Cheng Yiu-tong: Although the federation feels that labour representatives sitting on the BLCC should include people from all sectors, the federation has to respect
its member unions' decision on the nomination.

Lam: It is the view of
the Government that the drafting of the Basic Law is a matter of the
Chinese Government. It would not be appropriate to discuss the Basic Law at District Board
meetings.
