Conrad Lam: China should made clear its stand on whether Legco can discuss the Basic Law so that HK people will not have to muddle through. He disagrees with pro-Peking lawyer Liu Yiu-chu's view that Legco's status is lower than that of the

BLDC.

Newly-elected Legco member Daniel Tse: It will not necessarily be unconstitutional but will be undiplomatic and imprudent to discuss the Basic Law at Legco. Legco members should discuss the Basic Law at informal meetings and present their views to the

relevant authorities through established channels.
