consultative committee is likely to be set up before the end of the year with a membership of more than 150. Members will be selected through democratic consultation and nomination by groups. All the members will join in a private capacity and there is no definite term of office. Non-Chinese
who have lived in HK for more than seven years will also be invited to join the committee.
