Sing Tao Jih Pao: In future meetings, the drafting committee should conduct comprehensive and independent studies of the contents of the Basic Law. In case of membership changes in the future, the authorities concerned should consider including people who can truly represent

residents.

Ta Kung Pao: One of the unique features of the drafting committee's first meeting is that members have freely spoken their minds, demonstrating that they are confident to work out a set of Basic Law in accordance with the "one country, two systems" principle.
