FCO RELATIONS WITH PARLIAMENT

1. Bob Jenners' minute of 17 April asks for a list of MP's that have come into contact with Hong Kong Department during the last

twelve months.

2. I attach a list of MP' S who have come to our attention either by visiting Hong Kong, asking parliamentary questions or speaking in parliamentary debates on Hong Kong, or by writing to FCO Ministers. I have divided the list into 2 parts. Part 1 contains the names of MP's who by virtue of their numerous questions, letters and visits to Hong Kong have come to our attention with monotonous regularity. Part 2 contains the names of those who have show occasional interest. I have not included Ministers but have included opposition spokesmen.

I also attach a list of members of the Hong Kong Parliamentary Group at July 1984. There seem to be some rather inactive members!
