POINTS TO MAKE ON UK ECONOMY AND WORLD TRADE

I attach some notes on the UK's economic strategy and performance from the Treasury's standard briefing package. I should think that para 1 on page Al would be sufficient for Mr Renton's needs, but if he wants more you could quarry the five pages of 'bull points'.

2. I will let you have later today a copy of a speech delivered in Seoul by the Economic Secretary at the Treasury which contains useful material on HMG's attitude to world economic developments.
