17. Her Majesty's visit

visit to China between 12 and 18 October and

to Hong Kong between 21 and 23 October 1986 will be announced

here on 14 October.

18. The details of Princess Alexandra's official visit to Hong

Kong and Thailand, and Duchess of Kent's private visit to Hong

Kong, both early next year, are still being finalised by

Protocol Dept, households, and posts. Probable dates are:

Duchess of Kent to visit Hong Kong in first week of February;

Princess Alexandra to visit Thailand in first week of April and

then spend 2-3 days in Hong Kong.

Thatcher/Zhao meeting

19.

The Prime Minister will probably meet Premier Zhao in

New York on 28 October.
