3. Mr Luce has not yet made any firm plans to visit Hong Kong. Mr Tebbit's visit is still a possibility although, as he has only just returned to his office, a visit must be considered remote. Lord Young will stop off in Hong Kong during his return journey from Peking with his trade delegation. Lord Jellicoe's visit in March will be private following a visit to Japan. Mr Jopling's visit in April will be private following a visit to China leading an art study tour. A further visit is possible either before or after his official visit to China which will take place between 4 and 10 November.
