(HK Economic Journal): Time was not yet ripe for JLG to discuss political reforms in HK.

(Sing Pao): The most urgent task for the BLDC and the BLCC was to come up with a draft on HK's future political system at an earlier day for public consultation.

(HK Commercial Daily): It would be a good idea for the JLG to discuss political reforms in HK.

* (BLDC member Liu Yiu-chu): The Joint Declaration provision that HK would be administered by Britain up to 1997 meant only that Britain was to govern HK on the basis of the existing

administrative system.
