Sir.
Speech by Mr G.A. Higginson, Secretary for Economic Services, in the Legislative Council
on 15 May 1985
Registered Trustees Incorporation Ordinance (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 1985
I move the resolution standing in my name on
the Order Paper.
2.
The Registered Trustees Incorporation Ordinance
(Amendment) of Second Schedule) Order 1985, which was made
by the Governor in Council on 30 April 1985, increases
some of the fees payable to the Registrar of Companies in
connection with the incorporation of registered trustees.
These fees were last revised in 1977.
3.
The new fees will not be a burden on the
charitable organisations for which the Ordinance provides
as, with two exceptions, they concern the provision of
documents to third parties enquiring about them. The two
exceptions are the fee payable for any alteration or
amendment to a certificate by the Governor, and the fee
payable for a change of name or seal, both of which are
raised from $20 to $100.
4.
Sir, I beg to move.
