Sir, we all appreciate that it is not an easy nor

simple task to improve the education system. Each individual has his own ideas on this, yet at the same time one must also be realistic and pragmatic in one's approach. I welcome the Education Commission Report No. 1 as it has demonstrated an exceptional amount of common sense and realism in resolving problems of our existing education system. Though the Report cannot satisfy every one, I firmly believe that as time goes by, we shall benefit from further experience, we can make even better improvements, and that our ultimate objective can be

achieved.
