The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED:
(a) that a further submission should
be made to the Council in eight
months to take account of
consultations based on a study
commissioned by the New World
Consortia into the traffic
likely to be generated by the
projected Exhibition Centre; and
(b) that plans for improving the
traffic circulation in
in the area
should not be finalised until
the outcome of this study was
known.
(The Assistant Commissioner for Transport/Hong
Kong and Islands, Mr R.T. MEAKIN, attended before
the Council to answer questions raised.)
