ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE:
FUTURE TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT OF OVERSEAS OFFICERS

The Council considered memorandum XCS(85)3.
The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED:
(a) that all future appointments of
overseas officers should be on
agreement terms;
(b) that all serving overseas Police
agreement officers should be
given until the end of their
present agreement, or until 31
March 1986 if later, to elect to
transfer to pensionable terms;
(c) that all other serving
other serving overseas
agreement officers should be
given until the end of their
present agreement, or until 31
March 1986 if later, to apply to
transfer to pensionable terms
(subject
paragraph 121 of
to
Civil Service Regulations).
(The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Martin
ROWLANDS, and the Principal Assistant Secretary (Civil
Service) Staff Planning, Mr Keith SHIPLEY, attended
before the Council for the discussion of this item.)
