Delete "NEW TERRITORIES DISTRICT BOARDS" and substitute the following—
"DISTRICT BOARDS IN THE REGIONAL COUNCIL AREA”. Delete "New Territories District Boards" and substitute the following-
"District Boards in the Regional Council area".
Delete "NEW TERRITORIES BOARDS" and substitute the following-

Delete "URBAN AREAS DISTRICT BOARDS" and substitute the following-

AMENDMENTS TO THE ELECTORal Provisions (Procedure) REGULATIONS
Amendment of regulation 3.
1.
Regulation 3 is amended--
(a) in paragraph (a) by deleting "and" at the end;
(b) by inserting after paragraph (a) the following—
“(aa) January 1986 and January of every third year thereafter in the case
of a Regional Council ordinary election; and”; and
(c) in paragraph (i) by inserting after "Council" the following-
", the Regional Council".

Regulation 4 is amended—
(a) by deleting "Where the office of a member is declared to be vacant" and
substituting the following-
"When notification of a vacancy of the office of a member is published in the Gazette";
(b) by inserting after "Council Ordinance" the following-
(39 of 1985.)

under section 20 of the Regional Council Ordinance 1985";
(c) by deleting “11(2) or”; and
(d) in paragraph (a) by inserting after "Council" the following-
the Regional Council".
3.
The Schedule is amended-
(a) in Form 1—
(i) in the English version, in the heading by inserting after “COUNCIL{” the following-
“REGIONAL COUNCIL/"; and
(ii) in the Chinese version, in the heading by inserting after "5/” the following-
(b) in Form 2—
(i) in the English version—
“區域議局 /”;
(A) in the heading by inserting after “COUNCIL MEMBER/” the
following-
“A REGIONAL COUNCIL MEMBER/"; and
(B) in paragraph I by inserting after "Council/" the following---
"the Regional Council/"; and
(ii) in the Chinese version-
(A) in the heading by inserting after"/" the following-
“EX5/"; and
(B) in paragraph I by inserting after "/" the following—
“區域議局/”;
(c) in Forms 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 12-
(i) in the English version by inserting after "MEMBER/” wherever it occurs the following—
"A REGIONAL COUNCIL MEMBER/"; and
(ii) in the Chinese version by inserting after "K" wherever it occurs the following—
“區域議局議員/";
(d) in Form 10, in the Form of Back of Ballot Paper-
(i) in the English version by inserting after "MEMBER/" the following-
"A REGIONAL COUNCIL MEMBER/"; and
(ii) in the Chinese version by inserting after "/" the following
(e) in Form 11—
“區域議局議員/"; and
(i) in the English version—
(A) by inserting after “THE *URBAN COUNCIL/" the following—
"REGIONAL COUNCIL/"; and
