AMENDMENTS TO DRAFT AMENDING LETTERS PATENT

In new Article VI (3) (contained in Article 2) delete

the word "Elected" and substitute the following:-

-

"Subject to any Instructions under Our Sign

Manual and Signet, Elected".

AMENDMENTS TO DRAFT ROYAL INSTRUCTIONS

Substitute the following for clause 8:-

"Addition of

new clauses XXIA and XXIB

to the principal Instructions.

8. The principal Instructions are amended by adding,

immediately after clause XXI, the following:-

Sittings and sessions of Legislative Council.

XXIA.

(1)

The sittings and

sessions of the Legislative Council shall

be held at such times and place as the

Governor shall from time to time appoint

by Proclamation published in the Hong

Kong Government Gazette.

(2) The period between the

last sitting of one session of the

Legislative Council and the first sitting

of the next session shall not exceed three

months; and additional sittings of the

Legislative Council may be held in any

period between the end of one session of

the Council and the beginning of the

next session.
