(2) The period between the last sitting

of one session of the Legislative Council and

the first sitting of the next session shall not

exceed three months.

(3) Additional sittings of the Legislative

Council may be held in any period after the

end of a session of the Council and before the

commencement of the next session.

Holding of elections.

XXIB. (1) An election for all the Elected

Members of the Legislative Council in accordance

with a law in that behalf in force in the

Colony shall be held in, and in every third year

after, the year in which the Hong Kong Additional

Instructions 1985 shall have come into operation,

and each such election shall be held within

three months before the commencement of the

session which commences in such years

(2) Elections for casual vacancies among

the Elected Members shall be held in accordance

with a law in that behalf in force in the

Colony.

(3) The consideration of a Bill or other

business of the Legislative Council shall not
