8. If an elected Member fails throughout a period of
3 consecutive months to attend any sitting of the
Legislative Council he shall, unless the failure was due to
some reason excused by the Governor, cease to hold office
as an elected Member.
The office of an elected Member shall become
Casual vacancies.
