This Ordinance grants to the Chinese Visa

At

Office in Hong Kong the privileges and immunities generally accorded to consulates in Hong Kong and is a result of negotiations between Her Majesty's Ambassador to China and the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. the drafting stage the Ordinance was the subject of consultation between Her Majesty's Ambassador in Peking, the Hong Kong Government and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

2. Before the Deputy to the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
