Dear Richard,

Proposed realignment of Shenzhen River

Please refer to my letter of 8 February to W. Morris. The Shenzhen side have now made some slightly different proposals, involving rather less engineering work and concentrating on two high priority areas. The new proposals would, if implemented, result in more land being shifted to the Hong Kong side of the river than to the Chinese side. I enclose copies of maps giving the details.
