Diplomatic Privileges

This section of the Bill provides privileges and immunities for
the five Chinese members of the Joint Liaison Group who attend
meetings in London. Hong Kong will have to legislate separately for
the Chinese members of the Group who attend meetings in Hong Kong.
The Bill does not deal with the question of supporting staff. We
are not required by the agreement to provide privileges and
immunities for them.
