13. This section is to enable localisation of Hong Kong's laws

(transfer of provision from UK to local legislation), so that these

can continue unchanged after 1997. Will also enable necessary

amendment of UK laws relating to Hong Kong.

DIPLOMATIC PRIVILEGES FOR CHINESE MEMBERS OF THE JOINT LIAISON

GROUP

14. Final section of the Bill provides diplomatic privileges and

immunities for Chinese members of Joint Liaison Group who go to

London. Hong Kong will need to legislate to allow privileges and

immunities for Chinese members who come to Hong Kong.
