The Prime Minister, the Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs and Lady Howe will arrive at the entrance to the Ballroom and be met by the Governor and Lady Youde.
The Governor will introduce the following:
The Hon Sir Denys Roberts,
Chief Justice;
The Hon Sir Philip Haddon-Cave,
Chief Secretary;
Major General the Hon Derek Boorman,
Commander British Forces;
The Rt Reverend Peter Kwong Kong-kit,
Bishop of Hong Kong;
The Most Reverend John B Wu,
The Roman Catholic Bishop of Hong Kong;
The Hon Sir S Y Chung,
Senior Unofficial Member of the
Executive Council; and
The Hon R H Lobo,
Senior Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council.
The Prime Minister, accompanied by the Governor, will move clockwise round the room. The Secretary of State, accompanied by the Chief Secretary, will move anti-clockwise. Lady Howe, accompanied by Lady Youde, will follow on after the Prime Minister.
It is planned to have 13 points (sketch map attached) at which people will be introduced to the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State and Lady Howe, which are as follows :-
