The purpose of this note is to inform Members of the arrangements for the meetings of the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State with Members of the Executive and Legislative Councils on Thursday, 20 December 1984.

Executive Council Meeting with

the Secretary of State

The meeting with the Secretary of State is scheduled for 2.45 p.m. while the Prime Minister is visiting Ap Lei Chau.

Executive Council Meeting with

the Prime Minister

The meeting with the Prime Minister is scheduled for 6.30 p.m. and is expected to finish by 6.50 p.m.

Special sitting of the

Legislative Council

There will be a special sitting of the Legislative Council at 7.00 p.m. at which the Prime Minister will give an address. Members of both Councils will be present. The Prime Minister's speech is expected to last for 15 minutes.

A seating plan for this special sitting is annexed. All Members except the President and Sir S.Y. Chung are requested to be seated by 6.55 p.m. or as soon as the Executive Council meeting with the Prime

Prime Minister finishes, whichever is the later.

The President will enter the Chamber from the right entrance at 7.00 p.m. He will be followed by the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State and Sir S.Y.

S.Y. Chung. They will take their seats as shown in the plan annexed.
