TRAVEL DETAILS
(a) The Prime Minister, the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Lady Howe and those shown at Appendix I will depart London Airport Southside for Peking at 1700 hours local time on Monday 17 December.
(b) 1192.
They will travel in an RAF VC10 aircraft Task No
(c) Flying time London Airport Southside to Peking is 19 hours 20 minutes including refuelling stops at Bahrain and Bombay. Passengers are asked to arrive at Southside at the times shown in Appendix II.
(a) It is expected that the Prime Minister and her party will return in the RAF VC10 to London Airport from Washington at 0255 hours on Sunday 23 December.
(e) The Secretary of State and his party will return by Flight BR 381 from Hong Kong arriving at Gatwick Airport at 0605 hours on Saturday 22 December.
(f) Passenger lists for the return parties are also given at Appendix I.
BOXES, BRIEFCASES AND LUGGAGE
(a) Two FCO Security vans accompanied by FCO Security Officers have been reserved for the journey to London Airport Southside on 17 December. The vans will leave the FCO and No 10 Downing Street at 1330 hours respectively on that day.
(b) FCO confidential boxes and luggage can be left in Room 1 (Security) Downing Street West, FCO, any time up to 1200 hours.
(c) Luggage whether taken by the FCO Security Officers, or personally, should be left unlocked for the RAF inspection at Southside.
