Dear Jane Ann

As we agreed, I am writing now to enclose two letters one dated 15 October and the other dated 5 November relating to my claim for the payment of the fees due to me as a member of the Monitoring Team in Hong Kong. I hope that these letters are what is required.

Many thanks indeed for your prompt reply to my telegram about mail, and for the improved arrangements which you have most kindly made. I look forward to receiving the backlog of mail tomorrow or the next day; and I am sure that all will be well in future.

Mr. Justice Simon Li and I are getting on with the job as a happy team, supported by excellent staff and in comfortable offices. I have seen Diana Francis, who has been most helpful. We are getting about a bit as passive witnesses as well as coping everyday with monitoring substantial batches of submissions in the office.

Every good wish.

-

your ever. Patrick pavine
