The unit would then pass to the Assistant

Director concerned the summaries, together

with the original of the submissions in

batches. The Assistant Director concerned

would then be responsible for drawing up a

report analysing the views emerging from the

submissions dealt with by the units under

his control. The units would be organised

in such a way that the reports would summarise

views expressed by broad sectoral groupings.

The next step would be for these reports to

be brought together to enable a consolidated

report to be prepared, perhaps on a weekly

basis.

The original submissions of representative

bodies and organisations of standing should

probably be included as appendices to these

reports.
