Taking it as a whole, 81 per cent believed the terms were good for the people of Hong Kong.

36 per cent were satisfied with it, 37 per cent felt alright and 18 per cent had no opinion.

23 per cent found it totally acceptable and 75 per cent found it acceptable but with doubts on some details.

After it had been released, 37 per cent said they were more optimistic about Hong Kong's future and 61 per cent said it had not affected their confidence level.

70 per cent found it acceptable.

Proportionately more respondents who were contacted by the news- papers said it was acceptable.

Proportionately more respondents who phoned in said it was not acceptable.

64 per cent thought most people would accept and had confidence in it.

97 per cent found it acceptable.
