additional Notes drafted to take account of comment agreement in Parliament and elsewhere by MPs.
on the
notes which take account of key points about the agreement raised in the Hong Kong press.
I should be grateful to receive any further contributions for key notes on 'your' subjects by lunchtime tomorrow. I am sure that among other things, Nationality, Representative Government and the Assessment procedure will feature prominently in the debates. It Occurs to me that your contribution might usefully include:

a note on the appointment of a Chinese Governor of Hong Kong;
a line to refute the suggestion that the Nationality provisions of the agreement are unsatisfactory to those valuing BDTC status and;
a defensive line about the Hong Kong Government's policy on the recruitment of expatriate public servants.
May I please ask you also to make any adjustments nowd required to the Notes we already have on your subjects/to return to me the amended versions of flags A, B and C?
