A take-note motion would obviously be insufficient,

and a motion on the adjournment would be inappropriate in

that there could be no division and no amending motion

from the opposition.

A motion of approval is the

appropriate option, but it would have to be worded so

as to reflect the fact that the approval of the House

is not required before HMG proceed to signature, and

that ratification of the agreement will be preceded

by the passing of the necessary legislation.
