1. Thank you for your letter of 25 February and enclosures

2. As you say, the findings of this, and many other amateur polls need to be treated with some caution. Nevertheless, the findings are interesting insofar as they seem to point to a desire for both the continuation of present freedoms and lifestyle (eg question ) and greater participation by Hong Kong people in their affairs (questions 2,3,4,5 and 6).
