(3) 1,936 students answered "no" to the question whether it
was appropriate for Hong Kong people to leave Hong Kong under the present
circumstances, representing 81.3% of all "valid questionnaires".
Of the 1,936 students who considered it inappropriate for Hong
Kong people to leave Hong Kong under the present oiroumstances, 804 gave
the reason that it "would affect the confidence of Hong Kong people and the stability of Hong Kong", representing 41.8% of all those "who answered
this question". The other reasons given (in descending order of popularity) were:"a manifestation of evasion of responsibility, not yet time for a

Of the 321 students who considered it appropriate to do so,
163 gave the reason that" taking precautions is understandable and
should not draw criticism", accounting for 51.6% of all those "who
answered this question".
128 gave the reason that "Hong Kong is bound to undergo
great changes; it is doubtful whether the status quo may be maintained",
representing 40.5% of those "who answered this question".
