types of British travel documents in Hong Kong (China) ie

including those who hold new form of nationality.

Paragraph 6. People of Hong Kong (China) can travel on travel documents issued by any country. This provides de facto dual nationality. Important point in Hong Kong. Chinese have accepted

it in informal contacts. Also states that all such travel documents

will make it clear that these people have right of abode in Hong Kong. Important point for us, to ensure they are returned to Hong Kong not UK. Proposal to refer to possession of identity card would circumvent Chinese reluctance to allow other states to insert right

of abode statements.
