Closer links would be developed between the
marine administrations of the Dependent Territories
and the UK marine administration to ensure an
adequate exchange of information, the maintenance
of uniform standards, and to provide for technical
assistance from the UK as far as practicable.
30.
As part of the new framework, all relevant international
Conventions would be extended automatically to all Dependent
Territories. However, it is important to note that the extent of
their application will depend on the Category assigned to the
local ports of registry.

marine administration will be necessary.

relatively modest administrative effort would be needed, but
in Category A registries a full marine administration would be
