We have made the following fixtures for you in your absence:

Mr Michael Thomas will be calling on Mr Burrows at

on 22 November to discuss the Hong Kong Bill and will be lunching with him afterwards. Mr Thomas has asked if he could drop in to say hello at about 2.30 pm. He has nothing in particular to discuss, but would simply like a general round up. (Mr Thomas asked to see any recent telegrams of general interest: perhaps Mr Powell could organise a collection for you.)

The Secretary of State's meeting with the Whips will be at 0900 on 23 November. Mr Powell is drafting a short submission for you to put up, reminding the

Secretary of State of the issues that will need to be discussed.
