SECRETARY OF STATE'S EVIDENCE TO THE SELECT COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS: 14 MARCH
•
1 I understand that you have asked to see copies of briefing for this meeting in advance of its formal submission on 12 March.
2.
Our drafts are attached. It should not be necessary to make any further amendment to Notes for Supplementaries. We shall however be looking again at the draft statement on 12 March in the light of any comments which the
Secretary of State might have on my submission of 8 March (167 on the future of Hong Kong: Lifting the Veil. The statement has been drafted on the assumption that the Secretary of State is content with the approach to the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee recommended in that submission.
