(g) The Middle East the general study proposed would
cover well1-trodden ground; and there would probably be too many volatile factors (eg PLO, Lebanon) for it to have any value for policy formulation. But
a more specific study on Egypt might be a possibility.
It would be helpful if any comments could reach me by 12 March.
