1. I enclose three copies of the concordance requested by the Political Adviser. Mr Forester-Bennett's help in preparing them was most welcome.

I have departed slightly from the subject headings provided by Mrs Priest, but I hope I have followed her intentions fairly closely. I did not draw up sections on Shipping or Civil Aviation as the Chinese have not yet said anything on these subjects apart from a general assurance that they would not be much of a problem.
