I leam with interest that you are to visit Hongkong on your way back from Brunei. I realise you will have a busy programme, but ask that you may spare the Morning Post a few brief moments for an interview.

As I am sure you know we are the biggest English language

daily newspaper in the region.

I realise the contents of the Sino-British talks are strictly confidential and hope the tone of the interview would be more about Richard Luce the man. Hongkong people are naturally interested in your background and how you see the region developing.

I was a lobby correspondent for Express Newspapers before I came out to the Far East last summer and my brief for the SCM Post is to continue my Westminster interests.

I would be happy with any time or venue to suit your convenience.
