BUSINESS REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT)
12. (1) A valid business registration certificate shall be dis- played at the place of business to which such certificate relates.
(2) A valid branch registration certificate shall be displayed at the branch to which such certificate relates.".
12. Section 14(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in paragraph (a) by deleting “business” and substituting the following—
"a business and its branches";
(b) in paragraph (6) by inserting after "fees" the following-
"and levy";
(c) in paragraph (e) by inserting after "certificates" the following-
"and branch registration certificates";
(d) by deleting paragraph (ƒ) and substituting the following-
"(ƒ) the issue of duplicate business registration certificates and dupli-
cate branch registration certificates and the fees therefor;";
(e) in paragraph (h) by deleting “, and issue of duplicate business registration
certificates".
13. Section 15 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) in subsection (1)—
(i) in paragraph (d) by deleting “prescribed fee" and substituting the following-
"fee or levy":
(ii) in paragraph (g) by inserting after "certificate" the following---
"or a valid branch registration certificate";
(b) in subsection (2)—
(i) in paragraph (a) by inserting after "fees" the following—
"and levy";
(ii) in paragraph (c) by deleting "prescribed fee" wherever it occurs and substituting the following-
"prescribed business registration fee or prescribed branch registration fee, as the case may be, and levy".
14. Section 16(a)(i) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "the Colony" and substituting the following
“Hong Kong”.
15. Section 17(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "prescribed fee" wherever it occurs and substituting the following-
"prescribed business registration fee or prescribed branch registration fee, as the case may be, and levy”.
16. Section 19(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) by deleting "prescribed fees" and substituting the following-
"prescribed certification fee";
(b) by inserting after "certificate" the following-
"or valid branch registration certificate".
17. Section 20(b) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "place of” and substituting the following-
"address of the".

18. The principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after section 20 the Addition of new following-
"Establishment of
fund.
(Cap. 29.)
21. (1) There is hereby established a fund to be known as the Protection of Wages on Insolvency Fund ("the Fund") which shall be administered by the Secretary for Education and Manpower.
(2) The Commissioner shall, subject to any refund of levy to be made under this Ordinance, pay all moneys received from the levy to the Fund.
(3) The Secretary for Education and Manpower shall have power-
(a) to pay the money of the Fund into any bank account
authorized by the Director of Accounting Services;
(b) to invest the money of the Fund in any trustee investment authorized by the Trustee Ordinance or other investment authorized by the Financial Secretary.".
Schedule.
19. The Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting item 4 and Amendment of the entries relating thereto and substituting the following-
"4. Penalty to be added for non-payment-

Amendment of Business Registration
2.
20. The Business Registration Regulations are amended- (a) by deleting regulation 2 and substituting the following-
"Interpretation.
Regulations.
In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires- "branch registration certificate" means a certificate issued under
section 6(3A) of the Ordinance; "business registration certificate" means a certificate issued under
section 6(3) of the Ordinance.";

(b) in regulation 4-
(i) by deleting paragraph (1)(b) and substituting the following- "(b) the date of expiry of the business registration certificate."; (ii) by inserting at the end the following-
"(3) The Commissioner shall endorse upon the Application Form such information received by him under section 5(3) or 8 of the Ordinance relating to a branch as he considers relevant.";
(c) by deleting regulation 5 and substituting the following-
"Business and branch registration certificates.
Form 2.
5. (1) A business registration certificate and a branch regis- tration certificate shall be in Form 2.
(2) The Commissioner may upon payment of the fee prescribed under regulation 7 issue a duplicate, which shall be in Form 2, of a business registration certificate or a branch registration certificate."; (d) in regulation 7(2) by inserting after "certificate" the following-
"or a duplicate branch registration certificate";
