On 3 July 1984, having considered memorandum XCC(84)73, the Council advised and the Governor ordered, inter alia, that the Declaration of Districts Order 1984, and the

204 Declaration of Constituencies (District Boards) Order 1984, at Annexes A and B to that memorandum, should be approved in principle, to be resubmitted to the Council for making after

and Urban Council Elections (miscellanceous Amendment) Bill 1984 had been passed into law.

This Bill was passed by the Legislative Council on 25 July 1984 and recieved the Deputy to the Governor's assent on 26 July 1984.

Advice sought

Members will be asked to advise whether

(a)

under section 3 of the District Boards Ordinance (Chapter 366). the Declaration of Districts Order 1984; and

(b)

under section 3 of the Electoral Provisions

Ordinance (Chapter

367),

the

Declaration

of

Consituencies

(District Boards)

Order 1984,

should now be made.
