I noted a press cutting on 25th January 1983 in The Guardian that consideration might be given to compulsory re-patriation of Hong Kong refugees if the agreement of Hanoi could be obtained. I should be most grateful for your comments and any assurance you may be able to give that there will be no question of compulsory re-patriation of refugees in the foreseeable future.
