(c) Mr. Williamson asked if a similar table to that on page 8,
depicting distribution of length of stay in Hong Kong, could be prepared for other first asylum countries. Mr. Chuasai will liase with other countries in the region to see whether
this is possible.
(d) Mrs. Lasan stated that the Orderly Departure Programme, which
is the alternative to unplanned risky boat departures, has
picked up a great deal in the last two years.
(7) Other Matters
Mrs. Lasan announced that Mr. Chuasai is being transferred to headquarters in Geneva. Members of the resettlement meeting group
will have a chance to say "goodbye" at a cocktail to which they
have all been invited.
