2. Unless Home Office have objections I would support the view expressed in para 3 of Mr Long's letter of 10 May from Geneva that this would be a good opportunity to put across the difficulties we have had resettling the Vietnamese.

3. I hope Mr Nicholson in the Voluntary Services Unit will be able to do this fairly easily drawing on the latest JCRV report.

It would of course be useful if we could see the draft and also consider nearer the time what 'points to make' and defensive briefing would be appropriate.
