We are grateful for SEAD's record of your talks with Funseth on 2 November (Ref Newton's letter of 25 November in FA 243/34). If a suitable opportunity emerges, however, we would be grateful for one correction : the two figures in Funseth's statement at para 6 that "the US had taken 100,000 refugees from Hong Kong since 1979. This represented about 50% of the total" should read "54,000" and "60%". One down to the Americans in absolute terms, but one up to them relative to everyone else!
