With voluntary bodies

It is the aim of the programme, in partnership with BRC's general strategy, in which the other agencies are participating, to create a network of voluntary support for refugees in towns and districts around the country. This will take the form of a local forum, in which CABS, CRCs, Church Groups the Red Cross, Age Concern, WRVS, Rotary might join with representatives of major agencies like Christian Aid, Oxfam, SCF, to keep under review the needs of refugees in their area and stimulate local political and official support for initiatives by and for the local refugee community. This net- work would provide a local forum into which even the individual support worker can plug.

On a day-to-day basis the agencies will work at the local level with most of the groups mentioned above and nationally offer training, leaflets etc through NACAB, CRE, British Council of Churches etc.
