draftsmen to formulate any such amendment, but I envisage that an addition could be made at the end of Section 4 of the ordinance on the following lines:-
"The face value of such certificates shall be stated either in Hong Kong currency of an amount equal to the face value of the bank notes for which they are held as cover, or its equivalent converted into foreign exchange at such rate as the Financial Secretary shall determine."
It would also be necessary to amend the schedule to the ordinance so that the references to dollars in the heading and in the body of the schedule were removed. This could be achieved in the heading by deleting "" and putting instead at the end of the row of dots the word "(amount)" and by deleting the word "dollars" in line 3 of the certificate.
