CHAPTER 6 : PRICES
Introduction
6.1
The rate of inflation remained relatively stable
at about 9% in the third quarter of 1983. As indicated by
the Consumer Price Index (A) (1), the year-on-year rate
of increase in consumer prices averaged about 9.1% in the
third quarter, compared with 9.4% for the first half of
the year.
