Ms Ann Clwyd made only a minor contribution to the discussion. She said she would not be prepared to see Hong Kong become another Falklands but seemed not to realise that the widely differing circumstances would in any case preclude this. Apparently she believes that China's trump card in the negotiations is control of Hong Kong's water supplies!
