1. A year ago most Departments were asked to produce a list of MPs who had shown a particular interest in the major foreign policy issues with which they dealt. It is now necessary to repeat and expand this exercise for the information of Ministers, at the specific request of the Secretary of State. I would be grateful, therefore, if you would arrange for such a list, by subject or geographical area to include those in the attached schedule and any others you consider relevant, to reach Parliamentary Unit by Friday 8 July.

For those departments who provided one, a copy of their 1982 return is attached. Parliamentary Unit can add names of those who were Officers of the all-party country groups during the last Parliament. Please include members of TPU/CPA delegations in at least 1982/83.

Would those Depts concerned please treat this request as subsuming that in PS/Mr Luce's minute of 22 June.
